The Shrine of St. Michael

This past Tuesday, I found myself drawn to the St. Michael Shrine for the fourth week in a row to light a candle and say the prayer to St. Michael.  The prayer is to be said in succession, a candle shall be lighted while leaving a copy of the prayer in the church to help another soul in distress and support the devotion to St. Michael.

While I'm very new to the shrine, surely there are many who have visited over the years and know of the miraculous stories that this sacred place holds and would be willing to share.  No matter what your beliefs are, there is definitely a peacefulness that comes over you at St. Michael.                                                     

St. Michael - Feast Day:  Sept. 29. Michaelmas.  First of the seven archangels and the leader of the hosts of Heaven; protector of high places, patron of cemeteries and mountain tops. Patron saint of paratroopers, police, radioligists and the sick.
