Cops: Man Stalked 8-Year-Old
The New Port Richey resident was arrested by Tarpon Springs police.

A 68-year-old New Port Richey man stands accused of stalking an 8-year-old Tarpon Springs child and now police are searching for other possible victims.
The case against David Richard Silcox began to unfold on Feb. 7 when Tarpon Springs detectives were notified of the allegations. Silcox was charged with aggravated stalking of a child the following morning, an email to media from the Tarpon Springs Police Department states.
Silcox, the email stated, befriended the childβs mother and offered to help the family. He, however, directed his attention toward the child.

A search of Silcoxβs home in Pasco County turned up additional evidence, police said, but they wouldnβt reveal what the nature of the evidence.
The investigation continues and police are trying to determine if other criminal acts have been committed or if there are other victims. Anyone with information about this case or similar incidents is asked to call Det. Sgt. M. A. Trill or Det. Lara Scarpati at 727-938-2849.

Silcox is being held in the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bond.
