Herb Gross & The Invictas Perform

Herb Gross & The Invictas is the Legend that rocks!

Last year, The Invictas rock ‘n roll show sold out fast, and Bill Place owner of Crescent Oaks Golf Club expects another record breaking event.  “The show is one night only, Friday the week of St Patrick’s Day.  Golf clubs are not known for having rock ‘n roll parties but this is one of our most successful and fun events.  I’m expecting another sell out” says Bill.

The band known as Herb Gross & The Invictas will travel 1000 miles to rock the audience with their high energy classic rock show.  The band features hits from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s by groups like Bruce Springsteen, The Doors, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival and others.  During the event, the audience becomes part of the show; people sing, dance and join the band on stage.

The Invictas are nationally known as one of America’s longest playing rock bands.  They’re celebrating 50 years of rock ‘n roll like the Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones.  On stage, the band has 3 of the 4 original members.

The band is known for their hit song and dance “The Hump.”  They’ll arrive in a custom 51 hot rod Pontiac Sedan and have been featured on NBC’s Today Show, by the Associated Press and by media across America.

The name Invictas came from the Buick 60’s car known as “The Invicta.”  In Latin, the name means invincible.  The band’s records include an album, several singles and cd’s released by Sahara and Forevermore records.  The band hails from Rochester, NY, where members met while attending college during the 60’s at The Rochester Institute of Technology.  They have been friends ever since and have reunited the band twice since their start in early 60’s.

In Florida, the band has been featured at The Punta Gorda Music Festival, Oldsmar Days, The Villages as well as Crescent Oaks.  Recently, the band brought the house down at the International George Eastman Mansion and Photography Museum.  They were the only rock band chosen to play there during 2012.
