Update: Escaped Felon Apprehended After Fleeing From Work Camp

Authorities have located and arrested Tyler McFarlane, 23, who escaped from a Florida Department of Corrections Work Camp in Tarpon Springs.

HOLIDAY, FL — After an extensive search, authorities located and arrested Tyler McFarlane, 23, of Clearwater, who escaped from a Florida Department of Corrections Work Camp in Tarpon Springs Monday morning.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Amy Dillingham, 33, of Holiday, picked McFarlane up shortly after he fled the camp and drove him to her home, where deputies found him Monday evening.

McFarlane was arrested and charged with the burglary of two homes that he entered while on the run.

McFarlane has no previous arrest history in Pasco County. His arrests were for charges of armed robbery and grand theft in Pinellas County.
