No Injuries in Fire That Left Home a 'Total Loss'

The mobile home fire broke out early Tuesday afternoon on St. Charles Drive in Tarpon Springs.

TARPON SPRINGS, FL β€” Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue officials are investigating a Tuesday afternoon blaze that left a mobile home a β€œtotal loss.”

The fire broke out in the 800 block of St. Charles Drive early Tuesday afternoon, according to an email from the city manager’s office. When firefighters arrived, the home was fully involved, the city said.

Two adults and a child were able to evacuate without injuries, the city said.

Crews from both Tarpon Springs and Palm Harbor were required to bring the blaze under control. No firefighter injuries were reported.

As Fire Marshal Richard Kinney investigates the cause of the fire, the city said the Red Cross has been called in to assist the family.
