TARPON SPRINGS, FL -- Tarpon Springs police have arrested a nurse practitioner for reportedly driving drunk with a 2-year-old in the car.

Jennifer Barberi, 33, of Holiday, was pulled over on North Pinellas Avenue and Anclote Road at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, after a caller alerted police that her car was swerving in and out of the traffic lane.

Police pulled Barberi over and discovered a 2-year-old in the back seat. Police said they could smell alcohol on Barberi's breath and said her eyes were bloodshot.

She performed poorly on a field sobriety test and registered a blood-alcohol level of .41 on a breathalyzer test. The legal limit to be declared intoxicated is .08.

She is charged with driving under the influence with a minor in the vehicle.
