Tarpon Springs Police Find Decomposed Body At Anderson Park
Tarpon Springs Police detectives are investigating the discovery of decomposed human remains in wooded area in southwest Anderson Park.
TARPON SPRINGS, FL — Tarpon Springs Police detectives are investigating the discovery of decomposed human remains in wooded area in southwest Anderson Park off U.S. 19.
At 6:11 a.m. Monday, the police department received a 911 call from a homeless person who found in the bones while looking for a place to set up camp.
The area appears to be transient camp that can't be seen from any road or walking trail in the park.

At this point, there is no evidence of foul play. Detectives have information on a possible identification. The cause of death will be determined by the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office pending an autopsy.
