Tarpon Springs Cultural Center Official Dead in Murder-Suicide

Deputies in Tennessee say Genevieve Crosby was shot multiple times by her husband before he turned the gun on himself.

The director of marketing for the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center died Monday after what Tennessee officials are describing as a murder-suicide.

Genevieve Crosby, 48, and her husband, Richard, 52, were on vacation in Sevier County with their daughter and Genevieve’s parents, the Tampa Bay Times reported. The family was staying in a rental cabin in the Smoky Mountains.

Investigators say Richard Crosby shot Genevieve and then turned the gun on himself, according to Knox News. Genevieve was taken to a nearby hospital, but died one the way, the paper reported.
