Tarpon Springs Man Killed Walking Across U.S. 19

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- A Tarpon Springs man will killed walking across U.S. 19 Saturday, Oct. 13, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the 50-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was crossing U.S. 19 near Catherine Street south of Trouble Creek Drive at 9:40 p.m. when he was hit by a Toyota Tundra driven by Stephen A. Sadowski of Zephyrhills.

The pedestrian died at the scene .
