Woman Allegedly Pawns Snowbird Neighbor's TV

The 66-year-old had a key to her neighbor's house to look after it while he was out of state.

HOLIDAY, FL - A Holiday woman was arrested Wednesday for reportedly pawning a television belonging to her snowbird neighbor, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

Meryl Lee Parkton, 66, had a key to her neighbor's Torch Street home and was to watch the property while he was out of state at his main residence, deputies said. The man returned to the Florida home Saturday and discovered his TV was missing.

Parkton allegedly admitted that on May 29, 2015, she falsely claimed to be the TV's owner and pawned it for cash, deputies said.
