Update: Zorba's Greek Nightclub Fire Not an Accident, Cops Say
The popular nightspot was destroyed in a Wednesday morning blaze.

A fire that broke out at Zorba’s Greek Nightclub early Wednesday morning has been classified as arson by the Tarpon Springs Police Department.
Tarpon Springs police and fire crews were notified about the blaze on Athens Street around 12:30 a.m., an email from the police department to media stated. While the fire department was able to put out the flames, the interior of the building, which occupies both 504 and 508 Athens St., was destroyed.
Officials described the condition of the interior of the long-standing business as a “total loss.”

Police announced the classification as arson Wednesday afternoon and said no suspects are known at this time. No further details are being released as the investigation is ongoing.
