2 Students Stabbed at King High School
The Friday morning fight resulted in two arrests.

A Friday morning fight at King High School ended with two arrests and two injured teenage girls.
The incident broke out just before 7:30 a.m. when two 17-year-olds girl were standing in front of King High’s 400 building waiting for school to start, according to an email from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Two other girls, both 17, were also standing in the same area.
At some point, one of the girls in the first group thought the other two 17-year-olds congregated together were laughing at her and a verbal dispute erupted, the email stated. A physical fight then broke out between the four. One of the 17-year-olds from the first group is accused of ending that fight by pulling out a knife with a 2-inch blade and stabbing a girl near the left eye and in the chest. She is then accused of stabbing the other girl in the shoulder, the sheriff’s office stated.

One of the girls was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other was transported for medical treatment by her mother, the sheriff’s office stated.
The 17-year-old girl with the knife was charged with two counts of aggravated battery, possession of a weapon on a school campus and carrying a concealed weapon. The 17-year-old girl that was with her was charged with battery and possession of marijuana.
