The GFWC Temple Terrace Woman's Club recently held their Holiday Meeting/Luncheon at the Temple Terrace Golf And Country Club. Former Mayor of Temple Terrace and Anna Maria Island, Fran Barford was on hand to present the Fran Barford Award to retiring officer Tracy Mishler for his years of dedicated service to Temple Terrace. Accapella group Nine to Five entertained the attendees with holiday music.
Elaine Coniglio was awarded Member of the Year and Irene Bosek with President's Choice Member of the Year. Installation of the 2013 Board of Directors for the Club was made by former Temple Terrace City Council member Mary Jane Neale and the board memebers are: President Maryrose Owens, 1st Vice President Carol Caruso, 2nd Vice President Leslie Jones, 3rd Vice President Gloria Hill, Recording Secretary Connie Smith, Corresponding Secretary Jane Latina, Treasurer Irene Bosek and Member at Large Mary Frances Bransford.
The GFWC Temple Terrace Woman's Club is devoted to community service, personal growth and the development of friendships. As members, they work together in the spirit of friendship and service to better the quality of life in Temple Terrace and the world. The Club provides opportunities for personal growth through achievement and lasting relationships through community interaction. The club meets from Jan. through Dec. on the fourth Wednesday of the month, no meetings in June and July.
