Randy Loos, founding director of the Toast of Tampa (TOT), returns to coach the Bay Area’s championship show chorus Tuesday, February 19 in Temple Terrace. A popular, much decorated barbershopper in both men’s and women’s organizations, Mr. Loos directed the TOT women for 11 years and led them to their International win in 1993. Pursuing this hobby, he has also directed the Heralds of Harmony (Tampa men’s chorus), served on the Board of Harmony Foundation International, and coaches numerous choruses and quartets nationwide. Mr. Loos, a 28-year veteran financial planner, is a Senior Vice President-Investment Officer with Wells Fargo Advisors, Clearwater office.
Mr. Loos will coach TOT on sound and vocal delivery of their new uptune for the Sweet Adeline International competition in Honolulu, Hawaii this November. In 2011, the 25-year-strong Toast of Tampa placed 5th in the world from among 35 other choruses representing 600 around the globe, and, in 2012, won their regional competition to qualify TOT’s 100+ dancing four-part acappella singers for this fall’s International convention.
