Clearwater, Florida: The St. Petersburg Seminary and Yeshiva (SPS&Y) Mission to educate servant leaders for ministry in nepal clebrates its 3rd year. In 2010, SPS&Y’s Chancellor, Dr. George Pierce (www.drgpierce.org) responded to a call to train ministers in Nepal. Since that time, Dr.Tom Tribelhorn and Dr. Amy Katsouris, also faculty members at SPS&Y (sptseminary.edu), have traveled to Nepal to teach for brief periods along with Dr. Pierce.
Currently, Dr. Pierce is providing theological training for 27 students, who are also pastors in Nepal, with the goal of spreading the Gospel to the Nepalese people and
to other unreached areas in Asia. There is an overwhelming need for pastors in this country whose population of Christian believers has grown from only 25 persons in the 1960s to over 500,000 today.
