To assist the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry over the summer months when the need is greatest, the GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club held a city-wide Food Drive. Club members stapled brown bags with informational flyers and distributed them throughout temple Terrace. On May 18, the TT Juniors collected 150 bags of food, totaling approximately 800 lbs.! In addition, a $100 donation from a local resident was given to the Food Pantry. TT Juniors as well as the Food Pantry volunteers were pleased, amazed and proud of the generosity of the Temple Terrace community.
The GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman’s Club is a non-profit service organization for women over the age of 18 years. Members donate their time and support to local groups and charities. The Club meets the third Thursday of the month (except for June and July) at 6:30 p.m. at the Woodmont Clubhouse, 415 Woodmont Avenue in Temple Terrace.
