At the February meeting, the GFWC Temple Terrace Woman's Club had a 'Mardi Gras' theme and was filled with information from speakers and club members alike. Charlie Wathen of the Temple Terrace Fire Dept. spoke about the need of another A.E.D. machine in the Family Recreation center pool area. A presentation was made by City of Temple Terrace Leisure Services Director James Chambers on the Cultural Center in the city redevelopment area. February Member of the Month Awards were given to Norma Jean Moore and Liz Affronti for all of their work in chairing and coordinating the Community Prayer Breakfast.
The club will be hosting the annual Spring Boutique on Friday, April 5th from 10 am -2 pm at Embassy Suites USF 3705 Spectrum Blvd. Tampa, 33612. Besides a wonderful shopping experience, attendees will enjoy a lovely luncheon and some very special doorprizes. Tickets are just $35 and are available from any TT Woman's Club member.
The GFWC Temple Terrace Woman's Club is devoted to community service, personal growth and the development of friendships. As members, they work together in the spirit of friendship and service to better the quality of life in Temple Terrace and the world. The Club provides opportunities for personal growth through achievement and lasting relationships through community interaction. The club meets from Jan. through Dec. on the fourth Wednesday of the month, no meetings in June and July.
