Miss Aaliyah JaNya Stadom, 5, has been selected as a State Finalist in the 2013 National American Miss Florida Pageant to be held July 12-13 in Orlando. Aaliyah will be competing in the pageant’s Princess division for girls ages 4 through 6. National American Miss is one of the largest, most popular and most prestigious pageant systems in the world. Annually, more than one million dollars in scholarships, prizes and awards are awarded to deserving young ladies nationwide. The program is designed to help girls develop an empowering poise and self-confidence, and is dedicated to encouraging its future leaders.
Aaliyah is the daughter of Nicole Stadom and granddaughter of Gail Stadom. She is an honor roll, Kindergarten student at Woodmont Charter School, and active in the music and dance ministries at Mt. Zion AME Church. She enjoys being a member of the Art Club at Woodmont Charter School and taking piano lessons with Tillman Music Services and jazz dance at KanDance Studio.
