An Interview With Tony Lefebvre Of 'Greater Tuna'

Temple Terrace Patch Contributor Patti McDonald sat down with stagehand Tony Lefebvre of Masque Community Theatre’s performance of the off-Broadway production, “.” The two-man play runs on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. through June 19.
Temple Terrace Patch: How long have you been involved in the ?
Tony Lefebvre: I’ve been involved with the theater for the last year or so. Another friend of mine that I worked with from another theater mentioned Masque to me. I came here for “Alice in Wonderland.” Some of my siblings were in it, and I helped out with stagecraft.

Temple Terrace Patch: Why did you want to be a part of this production?
Lefebvre: I love theater in general, and I found out I can give back in more ways than just acting. I can be involved in stage management and with the technical side of theater.

Temple Terrace Patch: What makes “Greater Tuna” so funny?
Lefebvre: The costumes are completely hysterical. And the sense of humor this show has is great. For most people, the show will be absolutely hilarious. But sometimes you have to have that certain sense of humor to appreciate a production like this.
Temple Terrace Patch: What’s one of the things you’ve liked the most about working on this show?
Lefebvre: I really enjoyed just reading the actors’ scripts and getting to know their lines.
Temple Terrace Patch: Why should the community come out and see “Greater Tuna”?
Lefebvre: First of all, its great show, and coming out to see it helps a great cause by supporting your local community theater. The people involved in this production from the actors and directors to the technical crew and stage managers have dedicated so much of their time into this that people should really take the time to come check it out.
