Armed Robber Strikes Gas Station
Police say the man dropped some of his haul while fleeing the scene.
The Tampa Police Department is investigating an early Monday morning robbery at a Busch Boulevard gas station.
According to the department, the crime occurred around 3 a.m. at the Mobile gas station at 4242 Busch Blvd. At that time, a man walked into the store with a knife. He demanded money, took an entire cash register drawer and got into a confrontation with the clerk. The man then fled the store, but dropped some cash while running.
Officers, air service and K9 units all responded, but couldn’t find the suspect.
