Armed Robbery Ends in Victim’s Death

A Sable Park man is dead and Hillsborough County deputies are search for two suspects following an early morning robbery outside a bar on Harney Road.

According to a sheriff’s office media release, the incident took place around 12:07 a.m. March 31 as the victim, Jarret Eitson, 21, and two friends were leaving a bar in the area of 56^th Street and Harney Road. The three were walking back to their vehicle when they were approached by two armed men who attempted to rob them.

During the robbery attempt, Eitson was shot and died at the scene, the release said. The two other victims, whose names deputies are not releasing at this time, were uninjured.

Little information about the suspects is available other than they were driving a black or dark blue sedan with dark tinted windows. Deputies believe the sedan is a late 90s or early 2000s model.
