First, get there 20 minutes ahead of time. Don’t be in a rush – allow enough travel time to get there. Being in a hurry and getting aggravated with traffic can cause anxiety. When you arrive, sit in the spa’s relaxation lounge, close your eyes and sip some tea. This way when you go in for your massage, you’re not wasting the first 20 minutes trying to loosen up.

Second, try a 90 minute massage. There’s something about that extra 30 minutes that can take you to a whole new level of relaxation. Just a warning, once you try 90 minutes, you’ll never go back.
Third, don’t rush out of the spa. After you get dressed, sit some more in the relaxation lounge. Getting right back in your car to fight traffic can negate some of the positive effects of the massage.
