TCM and Your Heart
For #TCMTuesday that happens to fall on Valentine's Day, what else would I talk about?

On Valentine's Day, it seems appropriate to talk about the Heart - our organ that moves blood through the body nourishing all of our cells with oxygen and food, and removing waste products from cellular processes for disposal. Today's #TCMTuesday blog entry will be VERY brief so that you can get on with your festivities!
Keeping the heart in great shape takes work - proper diet, exercise and hydration are all important aspects to good heart health. However, as a nation we are failing to take care of the one organ that keeps us alive. Heart disease is in the top three causes of death for both men and women.
Today I am encouraging all of you to get screened for heart disease. Find out your risk factors. If you are at risk, or you already have heart disease - NOW is the time to take action against it!! You can improve, and possibly even avoid, heart disease - much of this disease has to do with the choices you make for your diet and lifestyle.

TCM treats heart disease very effectively - all different signs and symptoms can be addressed under the Chinese Medicine umbrella. Better yet, we can help you prevent it through all of the resources at our disposal, including herbal medicine, dietary therapy, and acupuncture.
So, I leave you today with a final thought - take care of yourselves, and put a little love in your Heart.
