The Beautiful Things in Your Back Yard.

I was born and raised in North Carolina, but I have family in Georgia and Florida. During my military career I was lucky enough to see some of the great sights this world has to offer.  The castles and cathedrals in Europe, the temples and jungles of Honduras, the stark emptiness of the deserts of Arabia.  One place I came to love was the mountains of Montana.  I loved it so much that after retiring from the Military that is where I settled..for a while.  Then I woke up one winter's morning and said...I need to go back home.

I returned to North Carolina.  I loved the fact that people at the drive through referred to me as sweetie.  It is a southern thing.  However, fate and love grabbed my heart and I found myself traveling to Florida to be with my love.  She is now my wife.

I have always believed and have seen proof that beauty is found in the little places. This is true whether you live in Berlin, or Tampa.  In fact, Tampa has sights that rival those of Paris, the quaintness that surpasses the small towns of Holland, and natural wonders that makes Yellowstone look boring.  Right here in Temple Terrace there is a park that, though only moments away from big city life, provides a tranquil haven for nature.

That place is River Hills Park.  Thanks Temple Terrace...It is the beauty in my back yard.
