The Remote Control

Remote Control-Just about every TV has one and many of us would be lost without one.   

I find it very interesting that the males in my household are the ones that seem to dominate this object. It’s almost as if it is not possible to watch TV without it sitting in their hand with their finger on the trigger. Yes, my son has now mastered this “art” form.  So much so, that he is now capable of watching multiple shows at the same time. (How is this ingrained in them?) No one has ever shown him how to use the remote or what to do with it. (So, if you ever question whether or not a child is watching….HA.)  Guess he can check off “mastering the remote control” from his life lesson list. 

Oh, and yes……it’s interesting how this device is an absolute must have to watch TV and yet everyone has to play hide and seek for it when they want to watch something. 

And they say watching TV is relaxing????  HUH??? Spending 5 minutes looking for the remote (blaming others for not putting it back in the correct spot) and then watching 4 programs at once does not equal relaxing in my book.  (Guess I’ll go do laundry now…..as if that’s relaxing….HAHAHA.)
