Where are your shoes?

On your feet right? Ok, well if they aren’t on your feet, you probably have a good idea where they are, right?

What I’m saying is, when you are getting ready to head out the door you normally wouldn’t find yourself looking for your shoes (or better yet….just one shoe) in places like oh….let’s say….the refrigerator, right?  (Yes that is where a friend of mine found her son’s shoe.)  Oh wait, maybe you find yourself looking in the dirty clothes. Yep, found one there before too. Let’s not forget the time we were late for school because the shoes got put in the backpack the night before. (As if that’s a place I’d look.) -sigh-

Ever wonder what exactly makes it so difficult for shoes to find their way to the closet floor and TOGETHER?  I mean that is where they go, right?

I find myself discussing these oddities of being a parent and having to play “hide and seek shoe” with my best friend.  She reminds me that not only does this happen to her, she will suggest that her daughters just put on a “different” pair of shoes so as not to be late for school. –HA HA HA- as if that logic works with a 5 year old.

The one good thing about this game of hide and seek shoes (which I don’t like by the way) is that when you talk to other parents you find out that yes you are crazy…..but you’re usually not alone and crazy.
