Busch Gardens Launches Its Own App

The amusement park's big news is that guests can get an interactive map on their smart phones.

The park is launching its own iPhone and AndroidΒ application.Β The free app is now available in the iTunes App Store and will be coming soon to the Android Market, according to park spokesperson Jill Revelle.

"This will be the first time that Busch Gardens has utilized GPS technology to guide guests through the park," Revelle said in a press release. "The free app is designed to make the guest experience even better by giving them park details at their fingertips and helping them get the most out of their day."

An interactive map will show guests where they are in the park and allow them to find the quickest route to wherever they want to go next by clicking β€œTake Me There.” The app can give details on location, menu, restrictions and wait times. Guests can also search for the nearest restrooms, lockers and ATMs.

"It will be as easy as searching the word 'Cheetah' to find a path to the new Cheetah Run habitat," Revelle said in the press release. "Guests can find fun facts about our animals and even snap a few photos without leaving the application by using the in-app camera. They can also connect to social media sites to share their photos with friends and keep up with Busch Gardens’ Facebook and Twitter feeds."

Additionally, the app gives general park information and operating hours,Β phone numbers to make reservations or schedule toursΒ aΒ β€œFind My Car” pin drop locator, and live local weather and forecast updates.

To download the app, search the keyword β€œBusch Gardens” in the iTunes App Store.
