Businesses, County Team Up for Parks Programs
Hillsborough has opened the door for small businesses to promote themselves while doing some good in the neighborhood.

Business owners looking for ways to promote themselves while giving back to the community might only need to look as far as the local park for ideas.
Hillsborough County has put a call out to businesses, large and small, asking for sponsorship assistance on a number of upcoming events. Opportunities to help out are available throughout the county and come with an entry price tag that’s only about $250.
County spokeswoman Kemly Jimenez Green says the concept is not necessarily new, but it does go a long way in helping the county put on good events for residents while providing businesses exposure for a little investment. That investment, in turn, helps the county pay for events and event-related items, such as food, that department budgets just aren’t able or allowed to cover.

“It’s a great opportunity,” Green said. “It’s good for everyone.”
Sponsorship opportunities available for businesses include chances to get involved in such events as Movies in the Park After Dark, the annual battle of the bands and two upcoming Great American Campout events. The costs to sponsor vary based on the event.
