Community Invited to Reading of Playwright’s Newest Production

Mark E. Leib, of Temple Terrace, has written a new play that will have a staged reading Aug. 21.

A staged reading of Mark E. Leib’s “Salk: Or The Possibility Of Goodness” will take place at American Stage in St. Petersburg on Aug. 21 at 7 p.m.

Leib’s new play is about Jonas Salk and the polio vaccine. It asks whether Salk was motivated by altruism or by personal ambition—or a volatile mix of both. A talkback with the author will follow the reading.
