Deputies Nab Suspected Auto Burglar
The 29-year-old, who lives near Temple Terrace, was arrested March 20 after the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office received a report of a vehicle burglary in progress.

A man who lives near Temple Terrace is behind bars after Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies received a tip that he was breaking into a vehicle around 4 a.m. March 20.
When deputies arrived at B-4811 River Grass Court in Tampa, they spotted Richard Johnson, 29. He fled the scene in a white Dodge Durango, a sheriff’s office media release says. A pursuit began, which led deputies into the City of Tampa, where police officers provided assistance.
At some point, Johnson got out of the Durango and led officers on a foot pursuit. He was eventually caught and now faces multiple charges, including fleeing to elude, driving with license suspended, obstructing an officer and providing a false name to law enforcement. He was also charged with violation of probation.
