1 Dead, 1 Injured in Terrace Sports Shooting

The Temple Terrace Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon at Terrace Sports, 5311 E. Busch Blvd.

Police say a woman was killed in the parking lot shooting. A man was also injured in the 1:40 p.m. incident.

Police say the woman was shot several times in the upper body and died at the scene. The man was taken to Tampa General Hospital. He remained in serious condition Thursday evening, the police department wrote in an email to media.

Neither person has been identified as of yet.

Police say witnesses told them they saw the man and woman talking to each other on the north side of Busch Boulevard. They then crossed the street into the parking lot where the man pulled out at a gun and shot the woman before shooting himself, the email said.

The relationship between the two is not known.
