Art En Blanc

Do you have your table secured at the newest and hippest event to hit Temple Terrace? What – you haven’t heard about Art en Blanc? Or you still can’t figure out how you will be kicking yourself if you didn’t attend the 1st Annual (no, there will not be a t-shirt) dinner under the stars event?

The event is fashioned after "Dinner en Blanc" which are events sponsored round the globe where "Thousands of people, dressed all in white, and conducting themselves with the greatest decorum, elegance, and etiquette, all meet for a mass “chic picnic” in a public space." Normally the location of the dinner is kept a secret until the last minute but since this is being done by the Temple Terrace Arts Council - no secrets! Woodmont Park is the destination.

The Arts Council provides the music. The locally popular and appreciated Dennis Pupello Jazz Ensemble has been hired for listening and dancing. All lighting, tables, linens and chairs are also provided for the price of your ticket. Attendees bring their own centerpiece, and food (pre-paid dinners are available from Antonio’s Pasta Grill, Rubens and the TT Golf & Country Club) and beverages. All the table decorations are to be in white and folks all dress in white (although khaki is considered “white”). Of course the food can be more colorful!

Tickets are $25 per person (sitting at a community table) and $160 for a table of 8. The date is Friday, May 17 from 7 - 11 p.m.

In inviting her friends to join, Ann Leavine wrote “I'd love for you to join our group. Please let me know if you will join us (even if you are not known for conducting yourself with the greatest decorum, elegance and etiquette - you'll fit right in my group!). It should be a fun new event for TT.”
