Secondary school teachers, informal science educators, postsecondary educators, and professionals will come together for the Climate Change Symposium and Showcase.
The symposium will feature workshops on various aspects of climate change and its effects, followed by a poster session, and culminating with a keynote address by Joe Levine, science educator and textbook author. He will share his insight and knowledge about teaching, learning and preparing for the future.
Levine has coauthored widely acclaimed biology textbooks for high school and college, and is known for his outreach efforts to improve public understanding of science through the media and exhibits at informal science institutions. The Blake High School Culinary Arts Program will be providing appetizers and refreshments.
