If it’s spring in Temple Terrace, it’s time for the annual Temple Terrace Garden Club’s Spring Market!
Ten years ago, the Temple Terrace Garden Club had an idea. Since the City was holding their annual clean-up days, why not invite the community into
Woodmont Park for a Spring Market where
plant vendors and garden items would be available for sprucing up our yards.

The beautiful setting of Woodmont Park would be a great place to hold the market and allow the Garden Club an opportunity to showcase their handywork. Well the market is now a thriving all- day festival including everything from camellias to zebra plants; from an Art Show to tool sharpening and includes a wide variety of vendors selling all things beautiful for the home and garden…….and some fun stuff for personal beauty as well. Of course it
wouldn’t be a festival without entertainment, food and hands-on activities for the kids, all of which are included.
As to the plants, the Club is very particular that every plant vendor be the actual grower or have extensive knowledge of the plants they bring for sale. Return visitors remark that the ability to talk to the actual “expert” gives them the confidence to try new plants. This is an invaluable teaching tool that cannot be found in a big box garden center. Members of the Garden Club will
sell their own plants and Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions and promote the right plant in the right place.
