At Sweetwater we are busy preparing to grow fresh, organic
vegetables this season and you can learn how to do the same! Founder of
Sweetwater Organic Community Farm, Rick Martinez, will host this workshop. Rick
has been an organic farmer in the Tampa Bay Area for more than 25 years and
will be able to provide excellent information on developing your own organic
garden.
In this special three hour Saturday workshop, Rick will cover soil health,
composting techniques, seed selection and preparation, organic pest control
methods, irrigation and much more! No matter the size of your garden or level
of expertise, you will benefit from Rick's extensive knowledge.
Bring your own 5 gallon container (or smaller) and take away compost to get
your own garden started! The workshop suggested fee is $25-35. Cash or check
