Masjid Omar Mosque Blaze Accidental, Fire Department Says
The fire reportedly broke out at the Busch Boulevard mosque Friday morning.
TAMPA, FL — Tampa Fire Rescue is on the scene of a fire at the Masjid Omar mosque.
According to authorities, the fire at the 4801 E. Busch Blvd. mosque broke out sometime Friday morning. No injuries have been reported and the fire was considered under control by about 10:30 a.m.
The fire was caused by a small refrigerator plugged into a low-rated extension cord, fire rescue reported just after 11 a.m. Friday.
