Fowler Avenue Construction Focus of Virtual Public Hearing
The Florida Department of Transportation plans to have an online meeting with residents, business owners and others interested in this upcoming project on Wednesday, March 20.

Temple Terrace residents who want to learn more about an upcoming repaving and median reconstruction project along Fowler Avenue need only log onto their computers March 20.
The Florida Department of Transportation plans to play host to a Virtual Public Hearing from 2 to 3 p.m. That means participants can take part from anywhere they happen to be as long as they have an Internet connection and a device that will get them online. For those who don’t, FDOT is opening its District Seven office auditorium at 11201 N. McKinley Drive for viewing use during the hearing.

The repaving will take place along the stretch of Fowler Avenue from west of Nebraska Avenue to west of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, according to a media release. In addition to the repaving, FDOT is also proposing replacing the current full median openings with concrete directional openings at the following locations:
- East of North 9th Street
- North 12th Street
- North 14th Street
- North 17th Street
- Club Drive
“Motorists traveling on Fowler Avenue will still be able to make left turns into the side streets and driveways,” a media release states. “Motorists exiting the side streets and driveways will not be able to make left turns onto Fowler Avenue.”
