Fowler Avenue Section Closes After Hole Opens
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is asking folks to avoid a portion of East Fowler Avenue Thursday.
Thonotosassa, FL – Motorists who use East Fowler Avenue to get around may want to avoid a particular section on Thursday.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the roadway has been closed in both directions between Tom Folsom and Jackson roads following the opening of a “large hole” under the road.
The hole is estimated to be about 20 feet deep. Deputies say county engineers are on the way to assess the situation.
