Hard Rock Casino Wall Collapse Injures 8

The wall fell late Friday night, but didn't slow down gambling action for long.

An accident that left eight people injured at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa didn’t stop Friday night’s gambling action.

The wall, meant to separate an under-construction high limit slot room from the rest of the casino collapsed around 11:20 p.m. Bay News 9 reported.

A total of eight people were injured, three serious enough to require transport to local hospitals, according to The Tampa Tribune. Gary Bitner, spokesman for the Seminole Tribe Police Department, said the collapse came without warning. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene, treating some of the injured on-site and transporting the others to local hospitals, the paper reported.
