Howl-O-Scream Fans Asked to Vote for Favorite Creepy Icon
The winning character will be made available for photo opportunities at the park during this year's special event.

Fans of Howl-O-Scream past are being asked to vote for their favorite former terror in advance of this year’s special event at Tampa’s Busch Gardens.
A Facebook content to declare the fan favorite “evil former icon” opened Thursday and runs through Sept. 3. The winner will be announced Sept. 4 and will subsequently appear at this year’s Howl-O-Scream, which is dubbed Unearthed. The icon will make appearances during this year’s run for photo opportunities in the park.

- The Raven Twins – The stars of 2008’s Howl-O-Scream “reeled in victims with their seductive looks and devilish charm,” Busch Gardens reminded in an email about the Facebook poll. “Those who dared to date these beauties fell into a trap of a tortuous night of unimaginable pain.”
- Death Jokey – This 2007 icon “used burning lights and ear-splitting music, masking the screams of his listeners trying to escape his tormenting tempos,” Busch Gardens noted.
- The Trickster – This icon from 2012 lured visitors into the “Dark Side of the Gardens.”
Fans may vote for their favorite via the Howl-O-Scream Facebook page.
Howl-O-Scream runs for 19 select nights in 2015 with the Freaky Preview nights set for Sept. 25-26. Regular event nights are Thursday through Saturday nights Oct. 1-31. The event is also open on Sundays Oct. 18 and Oct. 25. The event hours are 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.
