King Student Arrested for Having Loaded Gun on Campus
A student tip led to the Thursday morning arrest.

A 17-year-old King High School student was caught with a loaded .32 caliber pistol in his backpack Thursday morning.
The incident unfolded around 11 a.m. when a student told the school’s resource deputy about the boy’s gun. The deputy and school security went into the classroom where the boy was, searched him and took his bag. They found the gun, loaded, inside, wrote sheriff’s office spokeswoman Debbie Carter in an email to media.
The teen, whose name is not being released by Patch, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon on school grounds. He is being booked into the Juvenile Assessment Center.
