Lions Put on Their Practice Uniforms for Media Day

Although it was hot, many of the King faithful came to show their support of the team.

The turnout was less than hoped for but not far from what was expected. Either way, the Lions got a good day of practice with some rare time to just mill around and socialize on Media Day, Aug. 13.

It was a great opportunity to meet the players as each one was completely accessible and in good spirits after a medium practice and some free food and refreshments.

The King Lions have a few banners on the fence now from , but they need many more. Aside from offering local businesses a chance to promote themselves with signage at the stadium, sponsors are announced at the game and the King staff will even hand out flyers.

"We do anything we can to try to promote their business," said team mom Tarshee Jackson.

The King Lions are now offering advertising space in their programs for the upcoming season.

There are some monster games that will be played at Bill Stewart Stadium:

  • The Lions face off against Middleton in the preseason game Aug. 26
  • Alonso comes to town Sept. 16
  • Sickles comes to visit Sept. 23
  • Reigning 3A state champion Jefferson comes in on Oct. 14
  • Armwood plays on Nov. 4
  • And Durant caps the season on Nov. 10
