Love a Pet, Save a Life – PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend

Celebrate Valentine’s Day this year by falling in love with a pet and saving a life by adopting from local rescue groups at the New Tampa PetsMart located at 6248 Commerce Palms Blvd., Tampa, FL during the PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014.

PetSmart Charities Partner Cat Crusaders and several animal rescue groups, including Florida Cocker Spaniel Rescue, PetPals, Guardian Angels, and Florida All Retriever Rescue, will feature kittens, cats, puppies and dogs for adoption.

Special Adoption Fees Saturday Only
Cat Crusaders will feature special kitten and cat adoption fees for this day only--$35 for an adult cat, $60 for a kitten and $80 for two kittens. All cats and kittens are current on their vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.

You Can Make a Difference
Nearly 8 million pets end up in U.S. shelters every year, and half – about 11,000 every day – are euthanized. PetSmart Charities’ programs, including National Adoption Weekend, are made possible through donations. Just $25 saves the life of a healthy, adoptable pet and funds programs that give these pets a second chance. If you’re not able to adopt a pet, you can support PetSmart Charities by making a donation online, by email at gifts@petsmartcharities.org or via phone at 1-800-745-9460.

PetSmart Charities will also reward all participating local adoption partners, including Cat Crusaders; each will receive $35 in adoption-reward grants for every pet adopted during the event. National Adoption Weekends are sponsored by PetSmart, Purina® Pro Plan® and Tidy Cats®.

ABOUT PETSMART CHARITIES®
PetSmart Charities, Inc. is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that saves the lives of homeless pets. More than 400,000 dogs and cats find homes each year through our adoption program in all PetSmart® stores and our sponsored adoption events. PetSmart Charities grants more money to directly help pets in need than any other animal welfare group in North America, with a focus on funding spay/neuter services that help communities solve pet overpopulation. PetSmart Charities is a 501(c)(3) organization, separate from PetSmart, Inc.

ABOUT PARTNER ORGANIZATION
Cat Crusaders (tampacatcrusders.org) was established August 2010 as one of the few all-cat rescue organizations in Tampa Bay due to the overwhelming homeless, abandoned and abused cat challenges in the area. Cat Crusaders is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501-C-3 cat rescue organization dedicated to reducing the overpopulation of cats and to saving the lives of sick, injured and homeless cats, then finding them good, loving forever homes.
