Missing Man Found Dead

Jose Manuel Fernandez, who was reported missing July 11, has been found dead at a warehouse complex, according to the Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office.

On July 22, deputies responded to the complex at U.S. 301 and Fowler Avenue in reference to a vehicle that had been in the parking lot for a week, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies found a body in a wooded area near where the vehicle was parked.

“It appears that missing person, Fernandez committed suicide at the scene,” a sheriff’s report states.

Fernandez, 52, of 4503 Sweetwater Lake Dr. in Tampa, was reported missing by his wife. He left their home in the morning but never showed up at , 5006 East Fowler Ave., where he worked, the sheriff’s office said.
