Moffitt And Walgreens Team Up To Fight Cancer

Money raised from the "Make A Difference" campaign will go toward education and outreach programs.

Through July 8, and Walgreens are hoping to raise money for cancer education and outreach programs in underserved communities.

The two have teamed up in the β€œMake A Difference” campaign, during which Walgreens customers can buy and sign $1 and $5 β€œMake A Difference” circles in stores to support diversity programs at Moffitt.

β€œFunding for programs that address underserved populations are dwindling nationwide,” said B. Lee Green, Ph.D., the vice president of Moffitt Diversity in a press release issued by Moffitt on June 3. β€œSo we hope that this will be a longstanding relationship between Moffitt Cancer Center and Walgreens to tackle some tough issues and to build sustainable programs in underserved communities.”
