"Discovered" and mentored by the great Joe Williams, Nicole Yarling’ s wide-ranging influences and experiences as a vocalist, violinist, and fiddle-player have resulted in a rich, personal style and a very prominent position in the South Florida music scene where she has created a buzz in everything from jazz and R&B to experimental music. Tours, recordings, and performances with such notables as Dizzy Gillespie and Jimmy Buffet, as well as eight world tours with her own ensemble "Nicky and the Sticks," have brought her international acclaim. In this concert, Nicole will be performing with members from the Jazz Studies faculty of USF.
