Police: Attempted Bank Robbery Suspects Found Days Later
The two suspects had set a stolen car on fire in the July 31 escape, according to the Temple Terrace Police. They were arrested Monday.

Two suspects in a July 31 armed robbery were apprehended Monday after avoiding arrest for more than a week.
Kevyn L. Smiley, 28, and Mark A. Taylor Jr., 19, both of Fort Myers, are charged with attempted armed robbery, arson and conspiracy.
Temple Terrace Police claims the two men tried to rob a Wells Fargo Bank at 9775 N. 56th St. on July 31. The men had fled the bank in a green 2004 Volkswagen Jetta that had been reported stolen.

The car was recovered at Florida College a short time later and had been set on fire, according to police. They two men reportedly stole a second vehicle, a 2004 Toyota Tundra.
An investigation eventually led law enforcement to the two men, who were taken into custody on Monday with the help for the Lee County Sheriffβs Office.
