Update: Silver Alert Canceled for Temple Terrace Man

Hillsborough County Sheriff's officials say the endangered elderly man, who disappeared yesterday afternoon, has been found safe in Hollywood, FL.

Update, 12:57 p.m.: 

The Silver Alert was canceled Tuesday afternoon after Nazareno Muzzi has been found safe in Hollywood, FL, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. His wife is en route to pick him up.

The search continues for a 75-year-old Temple Terrace man reported missing yesterday, Jan. 2.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Nazareno Muzzi was following his wife on State Road 60 yesterday afternoon, driving a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta, when he failed to make a turn and hasn't been seen since. Muzzi’s wife turned onto Interstate 75, but he continued westbound on State Road 60 in the Brandon area, a sheriff's office media release said.

According to Muzzi’s wife, he suffers from early signs of dementia and has other serious health concerns, the release said. Muzzi doesn’t have a cell phone and may be lost and disoriented.

Muzzi was driving a beige Jetta with Florida tag number W02-3PA when he was last seen. He is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 195 pounds. Muzzi was wearing a dark gray T-shirt with long, dark pants and brown loafers.
