DIRECTIONS


From I-75 exit at Fowler Avenue
and head west.  Turn right on Leroy Collins Blvd. (the main USF entrance) and
follow signs to the Collins Parking Garage.  Upon exiting the parking garage
there will be volunteers to direct you to the registration area.


From I-275 exit at Fowler Avenue
and head east.  Turn left on Leroy Collins Blvd. (the main USF entrance) and
follow signs to the Collins Parking Garage.  Upon exiting the parking garage
there will be volunteers to direct you to the registration area.


 WHAT TO
BRING
 


Collection Envelope:  Every
walker, including minors, must turn in a completed Collection Envelope/Waiver at
the event.  If you are registering the day of the Walk, extra collection
envelopes will be available at the Registration Tent.  Please bring all of your
checks and cash donations with you.  Collection Envelopes for all registered
participants have been mailed out and are already pre-labeled for you. 
If you have not yet received your envelope, we will provide one on
site. 


To avoid delays and long lines at the
event...
please save your provided envelope and bring it with you to the
event with all of your checks and cash donations sealed up inside and the total
amount enclosed clearly printed.

All envelopes/waivers must be signed by
an adult walker or parent/guardian for all walkers under 18.

T-Shirts will
be awarded to walkers raising $100 or more at check-in.


Day of Event Donations
Welcomed! 
 If time slipped by too quickly to fundraise, then you can
certainly make a donation on the day of the Walk.  Checks, cash, and credit card
donations are all accepted!  Walkers registered online can continue to
fundraise through their website for an entire month following the
walk.


Rain or Shine--We Walk!  So bring
sunglasses, hats & sunscreen for sun; or raincoats, ponchos & umbrellas
for rain.

Medical Supplies:  While we will have
fast-acting carbs available, we encourage everyone to bring any specific
medications and/or medical supplies they may need throughout the
day.

Pets Walking for Diabetes:  This is a pet-friendly
walk.  Leashed pets are welcome to join you.  Please clean up after your furry
friends!


WHEN YOU
ARRIVE



  • Registration Tent:   Please check-in and drop off your
    Collection Envelopes.  Participants who raised $100 or more will receive their
    commemorative Walk to Stop Diabetes T-shirt here.


  • Red Strider Tent:  Please check out our tent just for Red
    Striders, (individuals living with type 1, type 2, or gestational diabetes). 
    Here, you will receive a free Red Strider cap, a Stop Diabetes® pin and other
    special gifts.  Red Striders raising $500 or more can pick up their exclusive
    Red Strider Tee here.  Also, Red Striders enjoy lunch provided Olive Garden at
    Busch Gardens.


  • Champions V.I.P. Tent:  Our walkers who have raised $1000
    or more will receive their Champions long-sleeved t-shirt and special gifts at
    the V.I.P. tent.  Champions can pick up their special Champions Swag—medals,
    shirts, etc.—here.  Champions will enjoy lunch provided by Chef
    Gaston.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS EXHIBIT


Our sponsors will be in this area where you can
learn about ongoing diabetes studies and local supporters. 


KIDS' ZONE!


Bring the kids along for a fun experience
including face painting , crafts with Lowes, kids games, balloons twisters,
coloring activities, hair coloring, and puppet making.  Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority will be providing Zumba for kids and a kids cooking demo.  (Parents
to supervise children while in the Kids' Zone.)

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES


Team photographs will be available before and
after the walk.
