Tampa Newcomer Found Dead

The Tampa Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Tuesday evening off Bougainvillea Avenue.

The department received a call just before 8 p.m. about a disturbance at 1008 E. Bougainvillea Ave. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a Hispanic male with trauma to his upper body. The man, who police have not yet identified, died from his injuries.

“The victim recently moved to the area and has no known enemies,” an email to media from police stated.

Detectives do not believe this was a random act of violence, but say the investigation is ongoing.
